Apple's WWDC is Chock Full of No Surprises
Plus: Claude's AI-generated blog is already dead, AI gender bias is bad for business, and Voice AI drops the mic.
👋 Happy Tuesday AI Marketers. Apple’s WWDC is a let down by design, as the tech giant takes a mulligan on AI. Claude’s AI-generated blog dies a quick death. Voice AI is ready to disrupt on a massive scale. And lots more. Let’s get you caught up…
WWDC 2025: Reading Between the Lines at Apple’s Annual Developer Conference.
Everyone’s busy summarizing yesterday's WWDC updates, but Alex Kantrowitz at Big Technology offers the standout perspective in a brief, solo podcast update from Apple Park. He says tech companies generally operate in two modes, either creating something entirely new or refining what they already have. Right now, Apple is focused heavily on refinement, introducing polished tweaks like the sleek "Liquid Glass" visual updates, improvements to calls with Hold Assist, and smarter message filtering.
While refining existing features is a risky move in a moment when technology is shifting dramatically, Apple is clearly buying time. Last year's ambitious Apple Intelligence vision still hasn't fully materialized, but AI assistants from competitors like Amazon, Google, and OpenAI haven’t either. Yes, Apple overpromised and underdelivered last year. This year, the brand is taking a decidedly cautious approach.
Only time will tell if Apple's best days lie ahead or in the past. But you better believe next year’s WWDC will have an awful lot riding on it.
Anthropic’s AI-Generated Blog Dies an Early Death
Anthropic pulled the plug on its AI‑written "Claude Explains" blog after just a few weeks, scrapping two dozen posts despite early buzz. Turns out even clever AI explainers need more than novelty to thrive. Worth noting before anyone goes all-in on robo-content.
Sundar Pichai: AI Mode Is Google’s ‘Bleeding Edge’ Experience
Most have heard about Google's experimental AI Mode, but fewer realize it’s essentially a live testing lab. Google's long game isn't two separate search experiences, AI and standard, it's eventually blending them into one seamless search. A crucial insight for anyone thinking about their future SEO strategies.
Fixing AI’s Gender Bias Isn’t Just Ethical It’s Good Business
Bias in AI isn’t just about fairness, it directly affects the bottom line. From hiring to customer service, overlooking gender bias means lost revenue and missed opportunities. The smart money is on fixing it.
Meta’s AI Ad Plan Raises Stakes Even if Creative Execs Are Shrugging It Off
Meta’s planning fully automated AI-generated ads by 2026, promising unmatched efficiency. Agencies seem chill for now, but this could soon become the new standard clients expect, making complacency a risky move.
🎥 I sifted through a billion YouTube videos. Here’s one for you:
You have to see this. Just watched the demo of ElevenLabs' new text-to-speech model, Eleven v3, and honestly, calling it "impressive" is wildly insufficient. This is next-level realism for AI voices, from nuanced emotion to whispers, laughter, accents, and more. If you create audio or video content, especially narration or voiceovers, prepare to be blown away.
